When Florida became too close to call and Al Gore told George W. Bush he was retracting his concession speech, it became apparent the 2000 election was a long way from over. “It seemed like it was straight out of Dumb & Dumber how we were deciding who was our country’s next leader,” says AZTVfan. The U.S. Supreme Court finally decided the election in Bush’s favor.
