American Idol’s Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood,played two sold-out concerts this past weekend at Chicago’s Ravinia Festival. Carrie’s August 30th “evening with” show was the fastest sell-out in Ravinia’s history! The rapid ticket sales called for the addition of a second show on August 31st, and this second show also sold out immediately. Between the two concerts, approximately 38,000 fans were in attendance.
Before Carrie performed at Ravinia Festival, she made a surprise trip to Checotah High School in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma. During this appearance, Carrie’s C.A.T.S. Foundation and ACM’s “Lifting Lives” charity donated $117,000 in musical equipment to the school.
On August 31st, Carrie announced the name and shared the cover art for her new album which will release in November. Read more about Carrie’s upcoming CD.
