The American Idol Season 8 CD tops this week’s list of the best-selling Idol albums. It came in at #34 on Nielsen SoundScan’s list of the 200 top-selling current albums with nearly 14,000 sales. The CD is available exclusively at Walmart. Find out more information about the album here.

Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks’ single “Battlefield” remains the most-downloaded Idol track. Overall, “Battlefield” is the 26th most-downloaded current track, and 41st overall, with more than 47,000 digital scans according to SoundScan. Read our interview with Jordin, here.

Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson’s single, “I Do Not Hook Up,” has passed the half-million downloads mark. Meanwhile, Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood’s song “Just A Dream” has received gold digital certification. Another Carrie track, “All-American Girl,” has received platinum digital certification. All five singles off Carrie Underwood’s “Carnival Ride” have now been certified gold or platinum.
