June 21st is American Idol Kris Allen’s 24th birthday! This last year has been the busiest and most momentous year of Kris’ life. Just 9 months ago, Kris Allen married his high school sweetheart, Katy. He spent the first half of 2009 competing on American Idol’s eighth season, and ultimately won the title of American Idol.

As the winner of American Idol, Kris has been signed by 19 Recordings and his music is licensed to Jive Records. He’s beginning to work on his album which is due out this fall. Meanwhile, Kris has had success on the charts with his Idol performances of “No Boundaries,” “Heartless,” “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Apologize,” and “Falling Slowly.” Kris has mentioned that his album will have a similar feel to the type of music he made while on American Idol.

At this point in time, Kris is busy reuniting with the Season 8 Top 10 as they rehearse for the American Idol 2009 Tour which kicks off July 5th. It looks like Kris won’t be having much down time … read more
