Sarah Palin delivered an inspiring speech at the Republican National Convention that apparently drove the whining liberal press back under their rocks.
The only retort this morning from the liberal side was that the speech was written by a former Bush speech writer. Isn’t it satisfying that even a speech writer for Bush can make these liberals look like fools when delivered from an inspiring leader like Sarah?
To the accusations about all her family flaws, Palin responded, “”Our family has the same ups and downs as any other.” So true and so simply put. All these liberal men bashing Sarah yesterday would look pretty stupid if their families were put under the microscope. Shoot, Clinton had an affair with Monica Lewinski, was accused of sexual abuse, lied to the Justice Department under oath, and the fact that Palin’s daughter is pregnant at 17 is fodder for these complete fools?
Another brilliant but simply stated rebuff of these liberal buffoons attacking her in the media…”Here’s a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators. I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I’m going to Washington to serve the people of this country!.” Believe us Sarah, these two faced news critics have a good opinion of everyone but a Republican. We loved Obama’s retort that he thinks you are a good candidate except that you likely share McCain’s policies. The way Obama waffles, you may actually have some of his too though.
Palin’s son is on his way to Iraq representing his country, and speaking of McCain, she said, “He’s a man who wore the uniform of this country for 22 years, and refused to break faith with those troops in Iraq who have now brought victory within sight. And as the mother of one of those troops, that is exactly the kind of man I want as commander in chief.”
While there are policies of Senator McCain’s we clearly disagree with, we were disgusted with the misogynistic attacks of male reporters from CNN, the Associated Press and other liberal outlets attacking Palin for issues that are just plain not relevant to the election at hand. We believe those attacks will backfire as each can be easily rebuffed and none have any relevance to her choice as the candidate for VP.
There was an attempt to make a comparison of Palin to Dan Quayle by the liberal media yesterday. To that we respond…we remember Dan Quayle. Dan Quayle was no friend of ours. And gentleman, Sarah Palin is NO Dan Quayle. She is eloquent, sharp and strong and she won’t stand by idly and take sexual abuse from liberal or conservative men. As Palin put it, “What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? …Lipstick.”

I am so so glad you all said all the things I would have.
Sexist attacks on Ms. Palin??? You’ve got to be kidding. As one of those “liberal elite” and also a white woman (hey, aren’t I supposed to be loving up sarah now?) I was a Hillary supporter. Sarah Palin convinced me that I need to not only support Obama but donate money and lots of it to his cause. I fear for my young niece should she be in office. I fear for anyone who’s not an evangelical “Christian.” Wow, has she inspired me and so many other women I know to be sure not only that we vote for Obama but to make sure everyone we know does. I’ve never been so politically involved – so deep is my fear and anger over her candidacy – especially when she calls me and other women (for choice, for education, for equal treatment and empowerment) sexist. I’ve never disliked a candidate so much!
You know when you put lipstick on a pig she is still a pig. This person needs to be vetted and since she has not been vetted by the McCain campaign (the media and others have researched this) then we WILL vet her and run her through the mill just like McCain, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and others. It’s time that we Americans see through McCain’s charade in trying to woo Hillary supporters through this puppet Sarah Palin. Palin is a Karl Rove joke. If she can’t stand the heat of the media what in the hell is she doing being McCain’s running mate? This is extremely serious business. Right wing blogs, news and radio have stated that all Obama is good at is making great speeches. That’s all we have gotten from Palin is a great speech and it was written by Bush’s speech writer yet the Republican base is singing her praises. This is extremely disturbing and it should be to any clear thinking American. Again this is serious business and we need to stand up and demand that the McCain campaign let the media vet Sarah Palin and that Palin stand up on her own.
The Palin’s bring a lot of class to the party – looking like some sort of reality show on the E! Channel. And Sarah brings a lot of dignity to politics – really keeping it dignified and respectful. Criticizing community organizers? What was THAT all about? Maybe if she’d ever been around the country – seen ALL the different Americans out there – different colors, different languages, different ethnicities, different financial situations – she’d have a better understanding of how important and noble and necessary community activism is.
By the way, she EVENTUALLY blocked the bridge to nowhere, but she took 27 million dollars for the on-ramp. Sounds like she’s a reformer the same way Bush is a nation builder – half-a**ed.
There was no need for Sarah Palin’s hateful and nasty speech at the convention. For those of us who follow the words of Jesus, Sarah Palin’s meanness is just not what this world needs more of!
The legitimate media was not unfair to her. Name one instance that the questioning was out of line. You might be referring to The National Enquirer and US Weekly. Those are not what I would call the legitimate media. The journalists need to do their jobs since no one in America, unless you live in Alaska, has ever heard of her.
If she has nothing to hide, why is she missing in action on the Sunday morning talk shows like Meet The Press? Why is the McCain campaign deliberately hiding her from independent and unscripted interviews of even well respected journalists? The American people deserve to know her. It’s very shocking that McCain would do this when he advocates open dialogue. He loves town hall meetings where anyone can ask him any question.
Here is a petition to release Sarah Palin to the media –

So Palin gave a speech written by a Bush speech writer and we are supposed to swoon all over her.
Palin sounded like the female version of Dick Cheney. More pig oil and snide one liners.
I wanted to know more about her and her qualifications. Obama was a community organizer about 20 years ago, since then he has been a civil rights attorney and in the IL Senate and US Senate. Palin is 21 months from being a community organizer with responsibilities according to her own assessment. Palin is a major disappointment.
So much hate-filled rhetoric based upon so many mistruths–it’s mind-boggling that people want to believe that a woman who shoots moose for sport, forces two 17 year-olds into marriage, lies about the fact that she did not supports women’s rights for eual work for equal pay, lied that Obama supported big oil when we all know mcCain voted with Bush 90% of his senatorial career, (check the facts), McCain voted against Veterans’ GI Bill and tabled another bill giving them their rightful hospital benefits, and that Obama actually went across the aisle to sponsor with McCain campaign finace reform. In fact, check your data–Obama sponsored more than 802 pieces of legislation in both the state and national senates. meanwhile, your candidate, not vetted at all, (great judgement). is being vetted by the press as a result, and they have uncovered what McCain should have–that she is under investigation and is said to have had an affair. Oh, that liberal press? Try right wing conservative Rupert Murdock who owns the Enquirer.
