Obviously, I’m not the only person who disagrees with you about Katee making Joshua. If anyone made anyone within this partnership, it was Joshua making Katee.

Most people think the only valid dance technique is contemporary. If that’s what you are thinking, then I would have to agree that Katee is a better contemporary dancer than Josh, Twitch or Courtney. And, it did seem that post-top ten, the show was determined to have Katee in the finals because they ensured she received contemporary/broadway dances with OTT praise.

I think Twitch received more votes than Katee. If she had ended up second, they just would’ve found another way to announce the winner. There were millions of more voters this season than the previous seasons. I think these voters were supporting hip hop dancers. The show had always had the contemporary and ballroom voters.

Hopefully, next season it will focus on contemporary and ballroom because that’s what the loyal viewers want to see. They don’t care if hip hop is done correctly. Just like these viewers talk about the use of the door and bed to make Twitch look good in contemporary, hip hop viewers talk about the use of costuming and props to make contemporary and ballroom dancers look good in hip hop.

Loving someone and dance talent are two different things. Katee was quite loved as well and Twitch was not in the same league with Will or Katee, but you are absolutely right, the audience votes on who they like not on who has the most talent.

Polls are not always right on. We also mentioned it is possible Twitch was not in the top two and it had more to do with the new model.

We think Katee should have won. Joshua second. Courtney third and Twitch shouldn’t really have been in the top four, but made the final four because of his pieces with Katee two weeks prior.

Katee made Joshua and Twitch.

I both agree and disagree with tis article. I think it’s great tht Joshua won. I loved all of the final four dancers, and I disagree with what you said abut twitch. I think that a lot of people loved him! Just because an online poll showed differently means nothing. Polls are not fact, they are the opinions of just a small slice of the general population at hand.

And just because he was on of the final two dancers on the stage does not neessarily mean he was in the top 2. It was said at the beginning of he results show that the order in which they were eliminated didn’t necessarily coincide with their ranking. I would have been impossible to dictate that Katee won top girl if they had just announced Joshuaasthe overall winner because it would have been a frenzy!!! They ha to o it earier o se could have hr moment as well.I thik sh was probably the actual #2 dancer, ot twitch(even thought he was phenominal as well!!!)

Sandan, we do not disagree. We have loved Joshua from day one and have praised him highly throughout our reviews and in his profile.

In the article, we stress that we were not surprised at all that Joshua won. It could have gone either way. We favored Katee, but that does not mean we think the voters were wrong for choosing Joshua. He is amazing.

We do, however, think that the implication that Twitch beat Katee is absurd, and reduced the credibility of the show’s voting mechanism. Of course, maybe Katee really did beat Twitch. She got the $50K!

Absolutely Amy. We agree that all the dancers will do very well, and this is just the beginning for all of them. And we do not disagree with Joshua as the champion.

But we still do not like to see anomalies such as the implication that Twitch beat Katee. We are looking forward to the tour, and we hope you get to see it in your area!! If you think the television show is wonderful, you just have to see these dancers live! We did last year, and it was one of our most memorable experiences.

Katee is a beautiful dancer but I think Joshua should’ve won.
People forget the early part of the season. Without being paired with Joshua (who’s charismatic and talented), Katee would’ve been dancing for her life the first 3 weeks. It took that long for the little excerpts that Joshua told about her to sink in–endearing us to her. Even during the Samba, you could tell how much she relied/depended on him (extending her hand during practice). She then got Mia’s contemp and she was just possessed in that piece. After that, she never looked back. Of course, I guess it helps that she got to perform mostly in her specialty after the top 10 but she still performed the “H” out of the pieces. She saved Will and Twitch.
Joshua, on the other hand, performed most of his routines outside of his specialty. I enjoyed each of his other partnerships, to include Chelsie. I think their partnership and dances are W-A-Y under valued. I guess because people want to preserve the Katee/Joshua and Chelsie/Mark image. But, you could see the chemistry just flying off the screen during and after the A. Tango. And, she had all kinds of trust in him–doing all of those stupid lifts in the disco. We never saw them embrace after Mary put them on the “Train” after the tango. But, you know they did because the next shot showed her arm still around his neck and shoulders. Heaven forbid if we see that they actually like one another.
So, whereas Katee is a more polished dancer, I think Joshua is a more deserving winner.

I think that the title of the show, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, proves exactly what happened…Joshua thought he could dance…AND SO HE DID…and he won…listen, each one of the top 10…well, 11 will do well…this group of kids were pure, they had the biggest hearts, they were humble and they brought the show to a whole new level…Twitch, Katee, the beautiful Kherington, Chelsie…they will all come back next year and tell us about all the doors that have opened for them, on and on…I LOVED THESE KIDS…and you, Mr. Moderator, didn’t miss a beat either!!!
